This past Wednesday (I know I’m always so late!) I asked this question to goodwillintheworld and dumbledoresdilemma.

What is one of the most ignorant/prejudice comments you have heard, directed at you or someone else? It can be about gays or just anything.

The reason why I thought of this question was because I just recently had a bad experience of an ignorant comment. I signed up for a class this semester which requires a choreographed performance as a final. This class is also is taught in conjunction with another class without a performance final.

One of the student teachers of the other class spoke to our classes telling us “All of you guys who want to join our class, feel free. Especially because the final for your class is gay.”

Now, I’m leaving out some specific details because it would reveal some facts about myself, which I’ve already told friends who don’t know I’m gay, but you have to realize that the other section of the class was full of tough guys. I just hate how the teacher seriously came out and said that our choreographed final, which I was looking forward to, was gay. He the word as a slur and an insult.

I wish I could go into it more. But the point is, people are so ignorant when they make comments about things that they don’t like.
